Final invitation to attend our Virtual IoT Winter School
Register now: www.nipslab.org/nips-winter-school-2020/We currently have over 160 registrations – this is going to be a very exciting 4-day event.
The virtual Winter School will take place from Tuesday 15th to Friday 18th December 2020, from 15h to 18h (CET) with a series of lectures from leading researchers on each day. On the final day we will host a virtual poster session to allow the participants to present their own research work & activities.
This is a great opportunity for graduate & PhD students, post-docs, young researchers and, in general, all scientists interested in energy transformation at the microscale for IoT applications, such as energy harvesting, storage, micro-power management and systems integration.
In addition to learning from highly skilled professionals of IoT, it is also an opportunity to build collaborations & share different and complementary competences.
There will also be a Virtual Poster display – where researchers will talk through their own poster – LIVE …
2021 Webinars announced

Based upon this success we are now announcing our 2021 Q1 webinar series. There will be a dedicated webinar on hot topics like simulation tools (starting in February), different harvesting technologies like RF and inductive harvesting (April) or thermoelectric harvesting (June). In between this harvesting webinars, there will be webinar focused on real world use-cases.
Proposed schedule of Webinars Q1 2021Date (2020) | Title/topic |

Milestone: 100th Enquiry
EnABLES has recently received its 100th enquiry. Submitting an enquiry is the first step towards requesting access to equipment, tools and expertise to power the Internet of Things. Once EnABLES receives an enquiry, this is allocated to the most suitable facility who will discuss the access requirements directly with you. This leads to an Application for Access prepared together between you -the user- and the facility.
If you have a research project which could benefit from access to “Powering the IoT” research facilities and equipment, EnABLES can help. Please submit an enquiry through our online form. EnABLES projects are generally quite focused, and the whole process of proposal preparation, submission, evaluation, etc. to project start takes on average less than four weeks. If the proposal is successful, access to the chosen site, travel and accommodation are fully covered at no cost to you the user.
Review: 2020 Webinar series
2020 was a very difficult year to promote our Access Programme through conventional conferences & events due to Covid 19. We adapted quickly and realised we needed to shift our efforts to online activities … Hence our webinar series was established.
Thank you to all those who registered and attended these Webinars throughout 2020 and we hope you’ll join us once again in 2021 when we launch a new series starting in February.
If you were unable to join us live we have now uploaded all our webinars to our EnABLES website where you can watch the recorded event.
